Welcome 2024 - New Year Message from IES President Dear IES members, A happy new year to you all! I hope you enjoyed celebrating the festive season with your loved ones and are well recharged to start 2024 in good spirits.
On the back of a busy year anchored upon the IES Green Plan 2030, IES stands ready to forge ahead with new achievements in 2024 to support Singapore’s sustainable development agenda. We invite our members to fervently create sustainable, innovative and transformative engineering solutions to tackle the climate crisis and join us in rolling out the initiatives of the IES Green Plan - to collectively make our home greener and more sustainable for us and the future generation.
As technological advancements continue to rapidly shape the world, I urge our members to take proactive steps to upskill to be in the best positions to contribute to Singapore’s development and advance in your career. You can do so by enrolling in courses offered by the IES Academy (IESA) that are designed to support engineers in excelling in their respective fields.
I also encourage our members to strive for accreditation under the Chartered Engineer (CEng) programme. Doing so will not only have your competencies recognised but validate your professional expertise and strengthen your career advancement prospects.
Let us approach the new year with resilience, adaptability and a shared vision for advancing engineering excellence. Thank you for your continued support and I look forward to journey another incredible year ahead with you to leverage engineering for a better and quality life for all!
Warm regards, Dalson Chung President The Institution of Engineers, Singapore |
